Whilst the data above makes impressive reading, even more remarkable is our ‘value added’ score. This indicates the amount of progress made by pupils of all abilities during their time in the academy. In 2010 and 2011 Brampton Manor’s value-added score was simply excellent, placing us in the TOP 1% OF SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY FOR PUPIL PROGRESS. And since our 2012 results are the best we’ve ever achieved, we’re confident that we’ll be in that elite group for the third year running when the figures are published. We are the only school in Newham to be in this category, and we’re a long way ahead of our nearest rivals!
Each year the Secretary of State publishes national performance tables on the Department for Education website. Here you can view the official performance tables for any school or local authority in the country. Alternatively, you may prefer to go directly to the Newham Performance Tables on the DfE website. Note that the performance tables for each year are published in the following January, so the most recent data on the website relates to the 2011 round of examinations.
We are delighted that our success in recent years has been recognised by the government and the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) with congratulations form the Schools Minister and certificates from the SSAT recognising our improvement and our success in adding value.
